Legal basis and legitimate interest
The legal basis that legitimizes the processing of such data is the need to enable the site's features after the user access.

Personal data processing methods
The processing of your personal data is carried out mainly by means of information systems and electronic devices by ALTEA and other entities or persons carefully chosen in terms of reliability and competence to perform operations that are instrumental to the pursuit of the purposes strictly connected to use of the website, its services and the purchase of products from the website (see below "Entities or persons authorized to process your personal data "). The specific purposes for which your personal data are processed, are summarized each time you supply your personal data, in the informative notice presented in compliance with ex art. 13 of Regulation EU 2016/679.

Any other type of processing other than that related to the specific purpose for which you communicated your personal data, will be indicated in the informative notice and will be carried out by ALTEA only after receiving your express consent thereto (this is the case, for example, of profiling activities based on the customer’s preferences and purchasing behaviour).
ALTEA may have access and process personal data of third parties, directly communicated by its users to ALTEA, when for example the user has bought a product to be delivered to a friend, or when the person paying for the purchase of the product is different from the person receiving the product, or again, when the user intends to recommend a Altea.com service or the offer of a particular product to a friend.
In such cases, ALTEA will ensure that the third party receives the information notice provided for in art. 13, of Regulation EU 2016/679 at the time of recording his/her personal data in its database; in all cases it will be your responsibility to obtain the consent from this person before sending such data to ALTEA, and to inform him/her of this Privacy Policy, since you will be the sole responsible for the disclosure of information and data regarding such third parties, without them having expressed their consent, and for any illegal or improper use of such information.
We inform you that the consent of these persons is not necessary when their data are disclosed to ALTEA to enter into a contract with ALTEA in favour of a third party.
ALTEA reserves the right to delete accounts and all related data upon identification of illicit contents damaging to ALTEA image and/or its products or any third party, or in any case contents that are offensive, illegal, defamatory or pornographic, incite to violence and discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, religion or belief or sexual orientation.
Data transfer
The management and storage of Personal Data will take place on servers located within the European Union of the Data Controller and/or duly appointed third party companies.
The data will not be transferred outside the European Union.
In any case, the Data Controller, if necessary, will have the right to move the location of the servers to non-EU countries. In this case, the Data Controller ensures from now on that the transfer of data will take place in accordance with the applicable legal provisions by stipulating, if necessary, agreements that guarantee an adequate level of protection.
Safety measures
We adopt adequate safety measures to minimize the risk of accidental destruction or loss of data, unauthorized access or processing of data not in compliance with the purposes for which it was collected, as laid down in our Privacy Policy.

Applicable law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the Italian Law, and specifically by the Regulation EU 2016/679 and personal data protection Code (Legislative Decree no 196 of 30 June 2003) which govern the processing of personal data – even held abroad – by any party residing or headquartered in Italy.

Your personal data shall not be communicated to companies outside the Group without your prior consent or the existence of equivalent requisites, as provided for by law.
